Much of the data from the 2000 census is now available from American FactFinder, the Census Bureau’s website.With a little know-how it’s possible to create and compare statistical profiles of states, counties, individual towns, even down to the block level. This information would have cost thousands of dollars just a few years ago but is available free-of-charge today from American FactFinder. Such data can be invaluable for businesses, community planners, social service providers, and local organizations in their marketing and advertising campaigns.
