Build It! Architecture for Kids
September and October 2004
A very special traveling exhibit -- archKIDecture -- will be making a stop at Skokie Public Library for two months in the fall. This independent educational project teaches children about architecture through a series of hands-on activities. The exhibit offers children and families an opportunity to design a tree house, decorate a skyscraper, build a cityscape, and more. Following is the schedule of archKIDecture activities that will take place in the Youth Services Department.
NOTE: Programs marked with * require advance registration. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk or call 847.324.3149. We look forward to seeing you!
In the meantime, browse our Architecture for Kids lists of picture books and nonfiction books, videos, and CD-ROMs about the art, science, and design of structures all around us.
