Ramadan Program

Teachers from the Averroes Academy in Northbrook, Illinois, visited the Youth Services Department to share the Ramadan experience with young patrons. More than thirty-five children gathered in the Craft Room to learn about the Islam religion and Ramadan observances with teachers Aisha Aqueel and Aneela Gill. The children also sampled traditional fast-breaking foods and made their own Ramadan decorations.
