Seussentennial
March 2, 2004
March was Dr. Seuss month in the Youth Services Department! More than one hundred people helped us wish Dr. Seuss (also known as Ted Geisel) a happy 100th birthday with a Seussentennial celebration. The afternoon included dramatic readings of The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and My Many Colored Days; crafts, and a fun-filled feast of green eggs, ham, and birthday cake. Take a look!
Pssst... When you're finished here, check out photo highlights from other Youth Services celebrations in honor of Dr. Seuss's 100th birthday: Braille Read-in: Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! and Green Eggs and Ham and Other Stories.
Assistant Head of Youth Services Linda Sawyer (left) and School Services Liaison Louise Barnett perform a very dramatic reading of The Cat in the Hat. |
