The Kids Can Dance
January 18, 2003

Ten members of The Kids Can Dance troupe performed at the Library, much to the delight of Youth Services patrons. The group danced to hip-hop and rock music, demonstrating their finely honed talent. After the performance, troupe members answered questions about training, experience, and their futures in dancing.

This special appearance at the Library was arranged in conjunction with Kidpalooza, a family friendly event that took place the following day at Centre East in Skokie.

The Kids Can Dance is a tuition free, not-for-profit arts organization of Evanston and Skokie teens from Evanston’s Chute, Haven, and Nichols Middle Schools; Martin Luther King, Jr. Experimental Laboratory School; Baker Demonstration School; Evanston Township High School; and Skokie’s Timber Ridge Magnet School. Troupe members range in age from eleven to seventeen years old.
