Going Way Up! Library Tour and Cyber Chase
January 6, 2006

The Youth Services department wrapped up the winter holiday break with a behind-the-scenes library tour for young patrons. Children visited places that they don't usually get to see such as the Bookmobile garage, Technical Services office (where books and other materials are prepared for lending), computer server room, and the place where library books go when you drop them in the book return. We also met the ladies who order the library books, the webmaster, and many other people who work hard to keep the library running for its patrons. Then we went to the Computer Lab for a "cyber chase" through the Library website where we learned all kinds of facts and information about the Library, its collections, and homework help resources. Take a look!

The first stop on our tour was a visit with
Library Director Carolyn Anthony in her office

The Network Support Specialist showed us the servers
that control the Library's computer network.

The Administrative Secretary weighed us on the postal scale again!
