Women's History Month
The United States observance of Women's History Month was first recognized in 1978 during the week that included March 8. In 1987, Congress expanded the "Women's History Week" celebration to a full month, and March was declared Women's History Month.*

Then select a subject from the list on the left side of the page to find biographies of famous people.
