Beginning Wednesday, October 5, 2011 and continuing until Thursday, April 26, 2012, members of the Youth Services team can provide a library program in your own classroom! We are available to visit you on Wednesday afternoons between 1:00 and 2:30pm or Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:00am. We will schedule up to two half-hour sessions and can accommodate two classes per session.
For kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms, teachers may select a puppet show performance based on two picture books: Lon Po Po: A Red-Riding Hood Story from China by Ed Young and Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock retold by Eric A. Kimmel.
For 3rd through 8th grade classrooms, our booktalk teams will promote the books on the 2011-2012 Voice of Youth Award (VOYA) reading lists.
