Biography
Sarah Strohmeyer grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and has a degree in international relations from Tufts University. Her writing career began in journalism, writing for several local newspapers. Strohmeyer lives with her family outside of Montpelier, Vermont.
What she writes: Strohmeyer’s first novel was the beginning of a hilarious and popular mystery series about Bubbles Yablonski, a sexy and outspoken beautician-turned-journalist-turned-amateur sleuth. Bubbles lives in the fictional town of Lehigh, Pennsylvania, based on Strohmeyer’s home town. Along the lines of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, Bubbles manages to bumble her way into and out of ridiculous mayhem with a cast of eccentric family and friends. Strohmeyer has written several other non-mystery novels, including The Cinderella Pact, which was made into the 2010 Lifetime Television movie Lying to Be Perfect. Other popular “Chick Lit” novels include The Penny Pinchers Club and Kindred Spirits.
